Recently I’ve embarked on creating this blog aimed at helping Christians truly understand what they’ve undertaken when they signed up to Christianity. Trust me, it’s not what you think!
It’s astonishing that after 500 years of widespread access to the Bible, there remains a profound ignorance about what Christianity actually entails—especially among Christians—sincere Christians.
We go to Church Sunday after Sunday, but tell me, what really changes? Are our lives better, are people better equipped to face life’s challenges to not only survive, but actually thrive?
From my experience over the years, many believers feel disillusioned because they lack insight into the spiritual ramifications of their faith. In short, people feel frustrated. They also feel more than a little lost when it come to understanding exactly what Christianity is and how it works.
I’ve spoken with numerous Christians over the years, like yourself, who have questions that standard theology fails to answer—largely because much of it is disconnected from the realities of life. This aligns quite well with what Alan Watts said:
“You’re told to be good, but never taught how to actually be good.”
In much the same manner, we are beckoned to embody goodness: to shun sin, to evangelize fervently, to give with open hands, and to uplift those around us. Yet, amidst these noble aspirations, many of us find ourselves grappling with our own turmoil, wrestling with the weight of personal struggles. It is not for lack of desire—Christians yearn to serve, to lead lives of purity, and to extend generosity to others. However, many are ensnared by their own internal battles, feeling the overwhelming burden of existence pressing down upon them. In such trying circumstances, it seems that there is scarcely enough strength for our own journeys, let alone the capacity to support those in need around us or “saving” the world.
Instead of embracing true spirituality, we’ve often replaced it with rituals and pageantry—a faux spirituality—that offers an appearance of devotion but fall short of providing genuine understanding or relief from life’s struggles. It certainly doesn’t guide us into the promised transformative experience that Christ promises.
If you’ve ever felt lost or frustrated by asking questions that seem to have no satisfying answers, or if you’re longing for deeper understanding and fulfilment, I invite you to join this community. Here, you will find others who share your hunger for more—more clarity, more truth, and more meaningful insights.
Together, we can explore the answers you’ve been seeking and uncover the wisdom that goes beyond superficial explanations. Don’t walk this path alone; there’s a place for you here, where questions are welcome, and growth is encouraged.
