TRANSFERENCE OF KARMA: SPIRITUAL GATEWAYS, DEMONIC ATTACHMENTS, AND GENERATIONAL CYCLES

AUDIO PODCAST

Sin is never solitary. It echoes, it infects, and—left unaddressed—it transfers. What Eastern religions call karma, the Bible treats as the complex spiritual economy of curses, consequences, and legalities. Sin causes (garam in Heb.) something in the invisible realm, and that consequence (gerem in Heb.) builds a framework—an invisible structure—that either permits the flow of God’s blessing or invites the oppression of spiritual parasites.

Sometimes people try and transfer their karma/garam to other people or even try and steal people’s blessings through energy transference.

1. SOUL TIES: SPIRITUAL TRANSFER THROUGH INTIMACY AND AGREEMENT

One of the primary ways negative energy—curses, demonic assignments, and spiritual debts—is transferred is through soul ties. These are unseen spiritual cords forged through intimate contact, covenants, words, and agreements. Sexual sin, covenants of secrecy, or even prolonged emotional entanglement with the wrong people create soul ties that allow the exchange of spiritual substance, good or evil. This is why Paul warns:

“Do you not know that he who unites himself with a prostitute is one with her in body?” (1 Corinthians 6:16)

The Hebrew understanding of a “soul” (nephesh) includes breath, appetite, emotion, and vitality. When you bind your nephesh to another’s, you do not only share emotion—you share inheritance. Many people unknowingly inherit spiritual residue, karmic consequence, or demonic attachments from those they’ve been tied to.

2. GENERATIONAL CURSES: UNRESOLVED LEGALITIES THAT FLOW LIKE SPIRITUAL DNA

God’s justice is generational in scope—not out of cruelty, but out of covenantal law. In Exodus 34:7, God declares that He “visits the iniquity of the fathers on the children and the children’s children to the third and fourth generation.” These generational curses are not simply punishments—they are spiritual contracts left unbroken, legal access points left unopened, and unresolved debts (karma/garam) inherited like spiritual diseases.

Jesus Himself dealt with these patterns. In John 9, when asked if a man was blind because of his own sin or his parents’ sin, Jesus disrupts the binary—highlighting that not all suffering is retribution, but some are indeed the outworking of inherited dysfunctions.

3. UNCONFESSED SIN: THE MOST DANGEROUS KIND OF SPIRITUAL DEBT

The Bible is clear: unconfessed sin is not dormant—it is active. It becomes a spiritual liability, a legal claim that the accuser (Satan) can bring before the heavenly courts. In Psalm 32:3-4, David writes:

“When I kept silent, my bones wasted away… my strength was sapped as in the heat of summer.”

Confession is not about self-shaming—it is a legal transaction that disarms the claims of the adversary and breaks the legal grounds upon which demonic spirits stand. The enemy exploits every unconfessed sin as evidence in a case against your destiny.

“And his lord was wroth, and delivered him to the tormentors, till he should pay all that was due unto him.
So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses.” (Matthew 18:34–35)

This passage reveals that spiritual debt left unpaid—whether through unforgiveness, rebellion, or unconfessed sin—can result in torment, both spiritually and psychologically. The “tormentors” (basanistēs in Greek) can be understood as demonic powers who legally afflict those living outside the covering of God’s mercy and justice.

Jesus’ words are a stern warning, but also a redemptive call to forgive, repent, and cancel spiritual debts—just as we have been forgiven.

4. SPIRITUAL UNCLEANNESS: THE DANGER OF DEAD THINGS AND DEMONIC HOSPITALITY

The Torah strictly warned the Israelites not to enter homes or touch corpses without ritual purification (Numbers 19:11, Leviticus 21). While modern readers often gloss over this, the spiritual principle is profound: dead things attract unclean spirits. Where there is death—spiritual or literal—there is a thinning of the veil, an invitation for wandering spirits.

Jesus affirms this principle in Matthew 12:43-45, describing unclean spirits seeking “rest” and returning to “the house it left”—that is, the human body. When a person dies with unresolved sin, unrepented bondage, or demonic hospitality, those spirits do not die—they linger, looking for another home. Often, this is done through family bloodlines, rituals, or simply proximity to spiritual death.

This is why practices like voodoo, necromancy, tarot, and fortune-telling are so dangerous—not merely because they are wrong, but because they create spiritual doorways. These are gateways of agreement, where the human will (knowingly or unknowingly) invites the influence of spirits that do not submit to Christ.

5. ENERGY VAMPIRES AND SPIRITUAL PARASITES: DRAINING DESTINIES

Not all demonic activity manifests in the dramatic. Sometimes it is as quiet as exhaustion. Sometimes it is a long season of delay, repeated sabotage, or confusion around purpose. These are demonic parasites, feeding off the vitality (nephesh) of individuals, families, or entire bloodlines. Scripture calls them “devourers” (Malachi 3:11), spirits that consume what is meant to prosper you.

Some people walk around with invisible vampires attached to their lives—draining relationships, dissipating health, consuming finances, resisting promotion, and stifling joy. These spirits often enter through witchcraft, pornography, bitterness, illicit sex, and occult curiosity. They remain until their legal grounds are broken—through repentance, deliverance, and blood covenant with Christ.

6. THE SPIRITUAL ECONOMY OF TRADE AND WARFARE

The spiritual world runs on trade: life for life, sin for death, obedience for blessing. Spiritual warfare begins when someone refuses to pay the debt themselves and tries to transfer it to someone else. This is the dark undercurrent of many manipulative relationships, ungodly alliances, and energy exchanges.

People—often unconsciously—offload their demons onto others through touch, sex, shared substance abuse, shared trauma, or even gifts and words. The enemy uses these “contact points” as spiritual handshakes, “rubbing” elbows or shoulders, and unless one is shielded by the blood of Christ and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, you become a new host for old spirits.

THE SOLUTION: CLOSE THE GATES, BREAK THE TIES, CLAIM THE BLOOD

Deliverance is not a mystical event—it is a legal undoing of what was done. Jesus has paid the karmic debt (garam) for every sin, but you must enforce the transaction. That includes:

  • Confessing all known sin and renouncing hidden works of darkness (Ephesians 5:11)
  • Breaking soul ties and spiritual contracts with ungodly people or past activities
  • Shutting gateways opened by ancestral sins, idolatry, or occult involvement
  • Receiving the Holy Spirit’s indwelling as your new governing Presence
  • Worship and Word saturation to rewire your atmosphere and authority

The cross is not only a place of forgiveness—it is a courtroom of justice, a marketplace of exchange, and a battleground of victory.

PRAYER TO CLOSE GATEWAYS AND BREAK UNHOLY TIES

Father God, Holy and Righteous Judge,

I come before You through the blood of Jesus Christ, my Advocate and Redeemer. I thank You that Your Word says, “If the Son sets you free, you shall be free indeed.” (John 8:36)

Right now, I renounce every agreement—spoken, unspoken, inherited, or initiated—that is not from You. I break all ungodly soul ties formed through sin, trauma, emotional manipulation, sexual immorality, or covenants of darkness. I sever these ties by the sword of the Spirit, in the name of Jesus.

I close every spiritual gateway I or my ancestors have opened to the enemy.

  • through idolatry or witchcraft,
  • through divination or occult activity,
  • through unforgiveness or bitterness,
  • through sexual sin or perverse imagination,
  • through generational bloodlines and household patterns.

I command every spirit that entered through these gateways to leave now in Jesus’ name. I shut every door with the blood of the Lamb. No more access. No more influence. No more cycles.

Holy Spirit, come and occupy every space in my soul, my mind, my emotions, my body, and my household. Fill every room the enemy vacated with Your peace, Your power, and Your presence.

Thank You, Father, that You are my Deliverer, my Defender, and my Righteous Covering. I receive Your freedom now and choose to walk forward in wholeness.

In the mighty name of Jesus Christ,
Amen.

CONFESSION OF FAITH AND SPIRITUAL AUTHORITY

I am not under the curse.
I am redeemed by the blood of Jesus.
I am not a dumping ground for demonic leftovers.
I belong to the Lord.
I break every illegal claim, and I stand in legal authority
as a blood-bought child of the Most High God.
No weapon formed against me shall prosper.
My body is the temple of the Holy Spirit.
My mind is sound.
My soul is restored.
My spirit is alive to God.
I AM FREE—indeed.

5 REFLECTION QUESTIONS

  1. Have I opened any gateways—through sin, trauma, or curiosity—that need to be closed today?
  2. Are there any ungodly soul ties I need to renounce and break, even emotionally or mentally?
  3. Have I inherited patterns of dysfunction, addiction, fear, or poverty that may be generational curses in disguise?
  4. Am I experiencing strange delays, fatigue, or repeated setbacks that may point to demonic interference?
  5. Do I fully believe that the blood of Jesus is enough to close every door, cancel every contract, and set me free forever?

MEMORY VERSE

“Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us…” (Galatians 3:13)

Let this verse settle in your heart: You are no longer under the dominion of karma, curses, or generational bondage. Christ not only cancelled your debt—He became the curse in your place, so that no legal right remains for the enemy to afflict or access your life.
