DEVOTIONAL: ACCORDING TO YOUR FAITH

SCRIPTURE

“Then He touched their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you. And their eyes were opened.”
—Matthew 9:29–30

Faith is the divine law of correspondence—the invisible bridge between the unseen and the seen. Jesus did not say, “According to your intellect,” nor “According to your effort,” nor even “According to your resources,” but “According to your faith.” It is not one’s reasoning, pedigree, or ability that draws heaven into motion; it is trust—that sacred persuasion of the heart which sees before seeing and receives before receiving.

Faith is the simple act of choosing what you focus on, that is, whose report you will believe.

Two blind men followed Him crying, “Son of David, have mercy on us.” They could not see Him with their eyes, but they saw Him with their hearts. Their faith, not their physical sight, located grace. When Jesus touched their eyes, it was merely the outward sign of an inward truth already established. For the miracle always begins in the inner chamber—faith conceives it, ‘sees’ it, long before form appears.

Faith is not based on circumstances, nor optimism clothed in religious language. It is alignment—an inner amen to what God has already declared. The Greek word for faith—pistis—comes from peitho, meaning “to be persuaded, to trust.” It is the posture of the soul that says, not “Let it be unto me as You have spoken,” but “It is with me as You have spoken.”

Your intellect may analyse—but it is faith that opens the gate of manifestation. For the kingdom does not respond to effort, but to agreement. Every act of faith is an echo of divine creative speech: “It is…”.

Whatever we agree with, that is, whatever we say “is”, becomes our experience.

The blind men did not receive because they saw—they saw because they believed.

The order of the Spirit reverses the logic of the world. The intellect says, “Show me, then I’ll believe.” Faith replies, “Believe, and you shall see.”

In short, your current experience is a direct expression of what you believe about yourself and life. If you don’t like what you see, change your focus.

PRAYER OF UNITY IN CHRIST

Lord Jesus,
teach me the simplicity of faith. Strip away my need to understand before I obey. Let my heart trust where my eyes cannot see. Touch the eyes of my spirit, that I may behold Your promises as already accomplished. According to my faith—not my fear. Increase my persuasion of Your goodness until my soul rests in quiet confidence. May every thought bow to Your Word, and every dream be carried on the wings of trust. Amen.
