SCRIPTURE
“If My people, who are called by My Name, will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” —2 Chronicles 7:14
The world is desperate for deliverance; you probably are desperate for some kind of deliverance. Economists promise recovery, politicians pledge reform, and activists demand justice. Yet no human instrument can perform divine surgery. The disease lies not in our systems but in our souls—souls that are out of alignment with Heaven.
This is why God sent a Saviour to open a channel for realignment. And His message remains unaltered through the centuries:
“I will save whoever comes to Me.”
Yes, He cleared a way. Yes, He is the way. But you must still walk in it—He can’t do that for you.
I repeat, the uncomfortable truth is this—nobody is coming to save you, not even your pastor. And no, there is no salvation in this world; history is a record of failed attempts by humanity to save itself. And yes, salvation requires movement, but just because you are busy doesn’t mean you are safe. In fact, much of what we call business is merely a distraction from the impending doom we know is coming. And much of what we call “safety” is an arbitrary human construct that is as reliable as a broken reed. We must come to Him.
It’s not His work that saves us; that merely prepares the possibility for us to be saved. Ultimately it’s our response to what He has done that saves us.
YOU NEED TO HEAR THIS
God’s command through Solomon was not to wait, but to turn. The initiative lies with us:
“If My people…”
“If” is a big word. It is the metaphysical hinge that our salvation rests on.
When we don’t, “if” we can’t be saved, and “if” is our part of the rescue plan. So get your “if” switched on and “if” as hard and as best as you can.
Is what you are committed to doing really saving you, or is it merely delaying the inevitable?
QUESTION
DEVOTIONAL PRAYER
Lord, I hear Your call to return. Teach me to bend low, to seek Your face, and to turn from all that separates me from You. Save me from my own independence. Draw me back into the refuge of Your presence. Let Your mercy heal my land—first the soil of my heart, then the ground beneath my feet. Amen.
