THE KING HAS INVITED YOU TO HIS TABLE
This Christmas, as we celebrate the birth of Jesus, we are reminded of the incredible grace of God—a grace that invites us, no matter who we are or where we’ve been, to sit at His table. Just as Mephibosheth was called out of Lo-Debar, a barren place, and welcomed into King David’s palace, we too are invited to leave behind our emptiness and join the feast prepared for us by the King of kings (2 Samuel 9, Psalm 23).
The birth of Christ is more than just a story of a child in a manger—it’s the declaration that God has come near. Jesus entered into our brokenness to bring hope, healing, and restoration. His arrival is the ultimate invitation, calling us to abide in His presence, to find rest in His love, and to dwell in the abundance of His grace. His presence is the feast, and with it all else flows effortlessly.
So, as you gather with loved ones, exchange gifts, and reflect on the meaning of this season, remember this: you are deeply loved by a God who left heaven to bring you home. Whether you feel unworthy, forgotten, or distant, His invitation remains the same:
“Come, sit at My table. Everything I have is yours.” (Luke 15:31)
May this Christmas fill your heart with the peace of knowing that you belong to Him, the joy of experiencing His love, and the hope of a life transformed by His grace.
Merry Christmas!
With love and blessings,
Peter
JANINE’S PRAYER
A Christmas Prayer: The King Has Invited You to His Table
Heavenly Father,
This Christmas, we thank You for the gift of Jesus, the King who left heaven to invite us into His presence. We are humbled by Your grace, which calls us out of our brokenness and into the fullness of Your love.
Lord, help us to leave behind the barren places in our lives and accept Your invitation to sit at Your table, where there is peace, joy, and abundance. Remind us that everything You have is ours, not because of what we’ve done, but because of who You are—a good and faithful God.
May our hearts be filled with the hope of Christ, the joy of His birth, and the promise of His presence with us always. Let this season draw us closer to You, and may we never forget the greatest gift of all: Your Son, our Savior.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
