DEVOTIONAL: FIRST LIGHT

For with You is the fountain of life; in Your light we see light.

Psalm 36:9

DEVOTIONAL THOUGHT

When the first light breaks across the horison of our consciousness, the world does not rush—it awakens. So it is with the soul that remembers its Source. Repentance is not punishment; it is sunrise. It is a change in consciousness (Rom. 12:2). It is the moment when the long night of separation lifts, and you realise—God was never absent, only unseen within the shadows of your own wandering (Acts 17:27).

Every return to Him is a new dawn. Every spiritual breath taken in awareness of His nearness is light entering darkness. To abide is to live in this continual dawn—where the boundaries between heaven and earth dissolve into Presence (Jhn. 1:4).

When you awaken to this, you begin to see: the circle was never broken. It was waiting—radiant and whole—for your heart to come back Home.

PRAYER

Lord, You are the light that was never extinguished—only veiled by my wandering blindness.
You are the center that holds when all else falls apart.
Draw me again into the circle of Your Presence.
Teach me to dwell, to abide, to breathe in rhythm with Your eternal life.
May I no longer seek You in the distance, out there somewhere,
in another imagined time and place,
but find You in the quiet pulse of every moment,
inside, where You were waiting for me all along,
to return back Home to You.
In Your circle of light, I am light once again.
Amen.

To walk in light is to let the Voice echo through the corridors of your being until darkness recognises its own end.
